Last season, the Sabres fell one win short of a playoff berth. While their post-season drought reached an NHL-record 12 years, staying in the race until the end represented significant growth. This year, they’ve embraced the expectation they will make the dance – though the team struggled through early December. Newfound stability has helped buoy Buffalo. Kevyn Adams and Don Granato, together since halfway through 2020-21, are the team’s longest-tenured GM-coach duo since Darcy Regier and Lindy Ruff. Terry and his wife, Kim, worked closely with Adams outside of the hockey department before promoting him in 2020, and they enjoy a special relationship with their GM.…
