NHL VALUATIONS $1.9B FORBES $1.78B SPORTICO $2.25B ROUSTAN OWNERSHIP JEREMY Jacobs DELAWARE NORTH DISPELLED a 2019 Boston Globe report saying Jeremy Jacobs had transferred ownership of the Boston Bruins to his six children, but the Globe never retracted its story. Jacobs, who has owned the team since 1975, remains chairman of the NHL’s board of governors, but there are signs that, at 83, he has stepped back from the day-to-day operation of Delaware North, the worldwide business that has made his family worth $4.2 billion, according to Forbes. The Bruins represent only a sliver of that business but remain the apple of Jacobs’ eye. Jacobs’ son Charlie emerged post-COVID as the exclusive voice of ownership at press conferences.
