FOLLOWING A cultural awakening in hockey, change-makers are working to remove barriers, create safe places, develop policy and build programming for diverse populations in the sport. For the past three years, The Hockey News’ Money & Power issue has highlighted 20 change-makers in the game each year, and this year, we’re showcasing 20 more individuals who are making a difference from the top down and/or bottom up. This year’s list combines policymakers with grassroots leaders doing work in their communities to build equitable opportunities, change hockey’s culture and spark a love for the sport in a new generation. This year’s list also includes those grassroots leaders and policymakers, along with past and present athletes, scholars, agents and activists who are working tirelessly to lay the foundation for a better future.
