IT ISN’T EASY TO improve when you’re already at the top of your game. The Vegas Golden Knights are either at the top or among the NHL leaders in numerous metrics on the business side of things, including ticket revenues, sponsorships and retail. To top off the 2022-23 season, the Knights became kings of the NHL with the franchise’s first Stanley Cup championship. So, after the Golden Knights overcame every challenge a new franchise could face, it seemed they might have difficulty finding a new goal to focus on in 2023-24.
