MYLES JACK WASN’T interested in kicking back and relaxing when he (temporarily) retired from the NFL in August. Having collected nearly $50 million in salary during a seven-year career as a linebacker with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Pittsburgh Steelers, Jack doesn’t need to work another day in his life. It’s not in his DNA to sit idly, though. In fact, at one point while mulling over his future, Jack briefly considered going to trade school to become an electrician or plumber. But he decided to lean into his newfound passion for the game of hockey instead. On Oct. 6, Jack and his mother, LaSonjia, were introduced as the new majority owners of the ECHL’s Allen Americans.
