THINK BACK TO WHEN you were 15 years old. Maybe you were trying out for the high-school football or hockey team. You might have been stressing over a history exam or worried about your Grade 10 science project. Or perhaps you were working your first part-time job at a fast-food restaurant or the concession stand in your local rink. For goalie Jesper Wallstedt, 15 meant moving out on his own to a new city to train and prepare for life as a professional hockey player. Despite playing primarily at the U-20 level in Sweden as a 15-year-old, moving nearly 550 miles from Vasteras to Lulea was about his future as a professional.
