ABSOLUTELY NO NOTES, AS the kids might say. Sure, the Utah Jazz “leak” may have been orchestrated for publicity, but the Seattle Kraken nailed their Winter Classic look on many levels. First, the Kraken dipped into Seattle hockey lore with the crest, which invokes the spirit of the 1917 Seattle Metropolitans – the first American team to win the Stanley Cup. The barber-pole striping highlights Seattle’s cool color scheme (and adds a vintage cream color to the mix) while also nodding to the styles of the past, and the red numbers on the arms and back really pop thanks to the contrast.
