BUFFALO SABRES ROOKIE GOALTENDER Devon Levi found himself in a conundrum last year. A late-season addition in Buffalo, joining the team after completing his NCAA career at Northeastern, Levi didn’t have a mask to match the Sabres’ black-and-red alternate jerseys. So, he got creative. Levi busted out the Sharpies and made his own Star Wars-themed mask, complete with a Sith-red lightsaber. Levi’s resourcefulness was met with fanfare, and his ingenuity appears to have given him a signature style. He now has this version to wear with the Sabres alternate uniform, plus one to go with Buffalo’s home-and-away fits that features the Jedi’s vibrant blue laser sword slicing his No. 27 in half on the chin of the mask. In the words of Yoda: “Great mask, this is.”…
