THIS COVER FEATURES one of the decade’s most enduring hockey images – a jubilant Sidney Crosby celebrating moments after scoring the overtime-winner in the gold-medal game at the 2010 Winter Olympics. Senior writer Ken Campbell filed from Vancouver. His cover story focused on the victorious Canadian men and three emergent young defensemen – Duncan Keith, Drew Doughty and Shea Weber – whose contributions surprised and impressed. Campbell expected the trio to garner Norris Trophy love – and soon. He was right: Keith won it that season, with Doughty finishing third.
