ORR, B’S WIN IT ALL

WITHOUT A DOUBT, Bobby Orr is one of the most talented players the NHL has ever seen, and he even has an iconic photo to go with it: the Bruins defenseman flying through the air while celebrating his OT-winner in the 1970 Stanley Cup final against St. Louis. Back when it all happened, the coverage of Orr’s heroics was just as effusive, and deservedly so. Orr claimed the Conn Smythe, Hart, Art Ross and Norris Trophies in 1969-70, making him the first NHLer ever to win four major awards. Orr earned some bonus money for his achievements: a little more than $11,000 (hey, that meant something to an NHLer back then).
