As Britain basks in warm temperatures, our vendors have been on hand to help in the hot weather.
Mark Mufasa, a music and film writer living in Croydon, was walking on Victoria Street in central London with two American friends last Monday evening when one fell ill, collapsing and hitting her head on the ground.
Unknown to Mark, who had walked on ahead, the chivalrous vendor, who wished to remain anonymous, leapt to her aid. “He sat with my friend and gave her water until she felt better. He was the ultimate gentleman,” said Mark.
“He was still sat with her when we got back. We collected her and called her an Uber home – she was fine afterwards.
“He was fantastic though, he completely looked after her throughout.”
