MONTH TWO When I introduced myself to you last month, I was on the cusp of becoming a full-time artist. Here's an account of what my first month entailed. My alarm sounded on the first morning of going solo and I was faced with a full day, week, month – lifetime – to fill with being an artist. It was a little daunting to say the least. Having given up full-time employment as a graphic designer, one of my biggest challenges is a lack of routine. For 18 years I had worked on weekly magazine publications that required a highly scheduled timetable to meet tight deadlines.
