In other strategy games, you amass troops simply by producing them from a menu. Syndicate doesn’t offer anything quite so boring – to get your footsoldiers, you need to be a little more active in your recruitment. By which we mean, you’re going to have to walk around brainwashing civilians with the brilliantly-named Persuadertron. With this little device, no matter where you are you can quickly amass a sizeable fighting force, which will follow you through the streets obediently. Of course, not everyone is so easily persuaded. The average civilian will tag along with you without much in the way of resistance, but if you want to get the likes of police officers you’re going to have to have a sizeable following already.
