Time Is Classical Music

I’m five years old and on vacation with my mom for the first time. It’s summer, and we took the train from Odesa, my birthplace and the only city I know, to Karolina-Bugaz, a little seaside village a couple of hours away. We’re staying with a kind woman named Rosa, in her little house surrounded by flowers and lush greenery. The whole thing is so exciting I can’t contain myself and it always feels like I have to pee even when I don’t. I’m at the beach with my mom.
