He says:GOD IS CALLING YOU TO COME HOME TO HIM My eyes closed, pretending he cannot see me on this third dayof antipsychotic withdrawal, my insurance expired, my shakingconspicuous, visible in a city that prefers me invisible.GOD IS THE ONLY CURE THE ONLY WAY OUT Thoughts turn to hell, its humid throng, the train forever skippingyour stop, how it is two flights of stairs below street leveland the elevator to heaven is always out of service.HE IS THINKING ABOUT YOU ALL THE TIME Then thoughts of Jordan, how I misheard his last name as kneeling.Him on the train, kneeling, the hard pew of orange plastic,kneeling, no seat for his body, no seat for his prayer.HE IS THINKING ABOUT YOU…
