Find and tag your people pictures

Use Photoshop Elements' face-recognition feature to tag your shots according to who's in them and then place them in Groups

On the previous page we demonstrated how to find favourite files more easily by adding star ratings and then filtering the results. This is a fairly general way to organise your shots. You can organise your photos in a more specific way by tagging images according to who is in each picture. This is a particularly handy feature because many of your photos are likely to feature friends and family members. To help you tag people in your images, Elements is capable of searching through its library of images and presenting you with any people pictures that it can find. You can then tell the software who each face belongs to, and it will create an appropriate people tag for that particular person. You can then sort your people tags…
