STAY HYDRATED It’s always important to keep your dog’s water bowl clean and refilled with cool, fresh water, but it’s especially vital on warm days. Try to scatter several water bowls throughout your home or in the yard for easy access. To check for dehydration, look at your pooch’s gums—dry, off-color gums indicate that your dog needs to drink up. TAKE A DIP! If you have a big enough yard, buy a plastic paddling pool for your dog to splash around in (toss in a few toys for motivation). Don’t want to deal with a pool? No sweat … turn on the sprinkler!
