Bennett Graydawn Lone, a studious, star college quarterback, has lived a quiet, uneventful life in his small hometown. However, on the eve of his graduation, on a beautiful night made for dreaming, a shocking event occurs which will alter the future trajectory of his life. His world is shaken, philosophically and spiritually. He must now navigate the long road before him, a road plagued by tragedy: a severed friendship, the loss of a true love, and the upheaval of some foundational beliefs that have never been seriously questioned. As Ben's future unfolds, he encounters conflicts that will test his mind and his spirit. Eventually, he will be led into a mystery that will haunt him forever. The author lives in the Black Hills of South Dakota. He holds graduate degrees in theology and psychology and works as a clinical psychologist in private practice. He enjoys reading (a great deal!), motorcycling (a great deal, weather permitting), and German Shepherd dogs. In another lifetime he likes to think he would have been a film director. He has previously published a novel of the post Civil War era, a historical mix of adventure, romance, and spirituality. A sequel to that book is in the works.
