EXTREMES. THEY ARE BENEFICIAL AND DETRIMENTAL. For instance, take political extremes. They are almost always detrimental. I say almost, reserving room for error in my judgment. Performance extremes are almost always beneficial. Whether we are talking about cameras, computers, guns, cars or the like, performance is what we typically want and need in many cases.
