GARAGE BAND One of the most arresting prototypes was the absolutely glorious Garage Band by first time designer, Nate Heater. Heater is a musician who, disappointed at the lack of music games out there, thought he would turn his hand to design and Garage Band was the result. Garage Band is a worker placement game of warring local bands all trying to earn an elusive record deal. The componentry (all made by Nate) is simply remarkable, with mini cassettes, mixer sliders to track your stats and your enormous treehouse/rehearsal space/dice tower dominating the centre of the board.
