Susy, Queen of the Ants is an illustrated book of fiction for children. Princess Susy is the female protagonist of the story. She must go on an adventure to save her colony from a water drought and follow her destiny. Her assigned mentor teaches Susy about the organization and activities of the ant colony, including its rules, laws, protocols, and functions in each sector, to prepare for her future role as Queen.
The author, Rosa Sandoval, was inspired to write this story while investigating the wonderful ant world. It is a fascinating discovery to realize the importance of these wonderful little animals that help all of nature's diverse ecosystems. The author wants to share the acquired knowledge and discoveries in the form of a story. This book is dedicated to all the curious children of the world.
Rosa Sandoval's passion for writing was instilled from an early age and continues to evolve and mature. Rosa has been a Humanities and Literature Professor for 28 years and is presently painting, writing, sculpting, and teaching art to children. This book was illustrated by Natalia Paredes, Rosa's former student.
