THE global community acknowledged International Women’s Day – March 8 – with the UN highlighting women's remarkable strength and voices everywhere. The value of empowering, including and giving women access to their full potential, is unquantifiable. Particularly when it comes to women’s rights to health. Across parts of the world some women have made impactful contributions in health that we have acknowledged or are yet to acknowledge. At a time when women have their rights to abortion, education, work, freedom, and safety threatened, it has become essential to listen to women activists, analysts, and educators.
