Thomas Rayne swore to himself that he would do whatever was necessary to protect his family and Pack after he failed in the past. Thomas still harbors guilt over his parent's death, believing that he is the reason they were killed.
Now that Thomas has gained control of his birth-given powers to become the Alpha he was meant to become, he will not make the same mistake again. But when a woman with teal eyes and teal-tipped hair stepped foot on Pack lands, that same feeling of danger consumed him along with the urge to tie her down, demanding her submission. Thomas used his gifts to try and read the new shifter but all the work put into controlling his gifts went out the window when he touched her mind.
He got nothing.
Thomas could sense the danger surrounding the new shifter, who claimed no memory of who she was or where she belonged, but he knew that death would follow her, leaving everyone in his Pack again in danger.
Remi had no idea of who she was when she washed up on the shore of a deserted beach. The only thing she knew was that she had to get as far away from the water as possible. She could only remember her name, that she was a water shifter species, and that she did not belong in this realm. Remi didn't know what pulled her toward the Rayne Pack lands, but she knew it would be safe when she reached the property. Remi knew that she would be safe or saying a safe word when she looked into dark brown eyes with an indigo glow.
Will Thomas figure out what danger surrounds Remi? Will Remi figure out who she is? Will Remi figure out why when she looked into Thomas's eyes, she had the overwhelming urge to submit when she felt that was something she would never do?
