What was the last gadget to change your life? Not just give you a few hours of extra battery life, lighten your rucksack’s load or make ordering a chicken korma easier, but actually do something totally new?
For me it was a couple of years ago when I got hold of a robot vacuum cleaner. Since the now lovingly named Jeeves arrived at home, I’ve outsourced all my vacuuming and suffered infinitely fewer arguments over skipping out on my cleaning duties. Given that ‘doing a Leedham’ is common terminology at Stuff HQ for leaving your rubbish on someone else’s desk, you can imagine how much grief this might have amounted to.
Since robot vacs only count as a household essential for messy folk, the most likely gadget to have transformed…
