Volume 2 of Student Friendly Quantum Field Theory (subtitled The Standard Model) is a graduate level physics text that picks up where the popular first volume (subtitled Basic Principles and QED) leaves off. It covers the electroweak and strong interactions, as well as a detailed introduction to the path integral formulation of quantum field theory.
Like the first volume, the book was written with extensive input from new learners of the subject, in order to make it as clear, transparent, and easy to understand as possible. Derivations are carried out in very small steps with little left out between the lines, and explanations are extensive, not terse.
The book contains many perspectives and insights not found in other texts.
