Vengono costruite le tombe reali di Ur, uno dei complessi funerari più ricchi e meglio conservati nella storia della Mesopotamia. 2500-2350 a.C. Scoppia la guerra tra le città-stato di Lagash e di Umma per il controllo dei territori agricoli alla frontiera tra le due. 2350 a.C. Lugalzagesi, re di Umma, fonda un regno centralizzato con capitale a Uruk. Poco dopo è sconfitto da Sargon di Akkad. 2112-2095 a.C. Ur-Nammu…
