IL MEGARON DI MICENE Gli scavi di Schliemann a Micene hanno portato alla luce uno spazio che è stato identificato con il caratteristico megaron dei palazzi micenei. Situato di fronte a un cortile aperto 1, è costituito da un portico sostenuto da colonne 2 e da due spazi coperti: il vestibolo 3 e la sala del Trono 4, con un focolare al centro sopra il quale si apriva uno sfiatatoio per il fumo 5.
