Two old friends die under strange circumstances.

Was it accidental or were they killed?

For Jonathan Birnam, things don't add up. And he is determined to learn the truth.

After 10 years running from his past, Jonathan rides his motorcycle back to Toronto to attend the funeral of his high school best friend Christopher. When another friend is found drowned two weeks later, he begins employing his police skills from the past, annoying investigator Detective Kelly but turning up intelligence Kelly is unable to find.

Following up on information from Christopher's family and friends, Jonathan uncovers some strange and unsavory connections that include drug dealers and a powerful man with violent henchmen.

A mysterious, beautiful young Hungarian woman helps Jonathan to understand the real situation for a group of young immigrants held hostage, leading to a truth he would never have suspected and ultimately, an electrifying conclusion.

This fast-paced thriller will have you on the back of Jonathan's motorcycle for a hell of a ride as he solves the mystery others don't seem to see.

The backdrop is Toronto, where Jonathan faces his past, reunites with his first and only love, Tara, and discovers that there are some people you never really know.
