Walter Koenig recalls his Star Trek role, and celebrity fans honor the actor.

For Walter Koenig, alias Pavel Andreievich Chekov, Star Trek has been the gift that keeps on giving. “That’s exactly true! I don’t think there’s any television series that really ever achieved that same distinction that we did with the original series being around for so long,” said Koenig, 87, of Los Angeles. “I don’t mind being remembered as Chekov. I wish my career was a little bit more extensive, a little more evolved, but I can’t complain.
