Although she is best known to Star Trek fans as the Borg Queen – one of the four characters she's played in the franchise – Susanna Thompson has a special place in her heart for Dr. Lenara Kahn on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. “Out of all of them, Lenara was my favorite,” says Thompson. “It's really who I am. It's really what I gravitate towards in parts, where you can see and feel the heart of the character.” Lenara appeared in the controversial fourth season Deep Space Nine episode, “Rejoined,” written by René Echevarria and Ronald D. Moore and directed by Avery Brooks, alias Capt. Benjamin Sisko. Like Lt. Cmdr.
