We knew that Jeri Taylor's health had been in decline, but her passing still came suddenly. That's why I am so thrilled that in the last couple of years she was able to be on camera so much for the new Star Trek: Voyager documentary, To The Journey, and that I was able to reach out to her to be included in the 10-hour TV history of Star Trek, The Center Seat. She had retired from the industry, not just from Star Trek, after Voyager's fourth season – and she was so humble about her role, her legacy in co-creating Voyager and mentoring so many writers, that she had not been a presence on the con circuit or even the interview and podcast circuit those next twenty years.
