THE EAGLES won their divisional round matchup with the Rams, first and foremost, because Philly had a bunch of ballers. They had Saquon Barkley, who with less than five minutes left in the game took a handoff, made one move in the backfield to find a seam, and then burst through it for a 78-yard score to put the Eagles up 28–15. (He’d finish with his second 200-yard performance against Los Angeles this season.) The Eagles also had Jalen Carter, who lifted up Matthew Stafford for an early sack and later, with the game on the line, blew past Beaux Limmer, the Rams’ rookie center, on his way to sacking Stafford on a crucial third down and ending a valiant L.A. comeback.
