Step one Find a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed. You will need peppermint oil, a burner, pen and paper, matches and a heatproof bowl. Lay the items in front of you so you can reach them easily and calmly when you begin your ritual. Step two Before you settle, make yourself a cup of peppermint tea. Get comfortable with cushions and blankets and enjoy the soothing drink. Sipping peppermint tea relaxes the throat, the point of self-expression. Step three Now, relax the senses and calm your mind. Diffuse some drops of the peppermint oil. Breathe slowly and deeply for a few moments, focusing on your breath and the aroma of the oil.
