REWRITE YOUR STORY Think about the stories and narratives you tell yourself and others. Do you often get caught up in negative conversations? If your words are fear-based, you are activating your sympathetic nervous system, which can send your heart racing. Your words should be kind, compassionate and loving. When I talk, I ask myself, ‘Is it kind, is it respectful, is it truthful?’ CHECK YOUR EMOTIONS If you’re tired or grumpy, the easiest thing is to let your emotions win out. I ask myself, ‘By staying in this space, what does my day look like?’ Running, dancing or jumping around for 10 minutes can shift your negative emotion.
