It was Sunday morning, and I was preparing for a big boxing competition. I’d just finished an intense training session and had come home for a bite to eat.
Sitting having my lunch, I noticed the table was wet.
‘That’s weird, is the roof leaking?’ I wondered.
Looking up to the ceiling, I could see no sign of a leak.
It was then I realised the table was drenched with my own sweat, I felt incredibly hot and there was a pain in my chest.
‘You need to go to hospital,’ I heard someone say.
Next thing I knew, it was Thursday morning and I’d woken up in hospital. But I was 23 years old, I was too young, too fit, to be there, among such poorly people!
