Mental health struggles led hair stylist Claire Jones to launch her award-winning Self Love Salon

Claire’s journey started over eight years ago when she suffered a breakdown after experiencing very low self-esteem and depression. At the time, a friend who had recently qualified as a reiki therapist offered Claire a free treatment, opening her eyes to the world of holistic healing. As a result, Claire felt encouraged to try self-help books, crystals, meditation, reiki and other forms of treatment, including sound therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy and counselling. Her healing journey even led her to create her own journal, And Knowing Me. When she discovered how much she benefitted from writing in her journal, Claire wanted to share the message with others, showing them it’s possible to come through depression feeling more capable and confident than you’ve ever been.
