A ritual for… releasing the past

Let go of previous troubles and conflicts and step into a new season of self-forgiveness and growth

Step one MAKE TIME Each month, set aside time for this ritual of reflection. You may wish to practise it on the night of the new Moon as it marks new beginnings. To begin this ritual, find a quiet corner of your home and get a pen and paper, fire-proof container and a lighter. Step two FEEL IT To release the past, you must first feel its presence. Take deep breaths and invite memories of the past in, as you prepare yourself to move forward without their added weight. Step three REFLECT ON IT Take your time to write a letter to yourself about your past. Be as honest as possible, letting out any traumas you have buried, hurtful situations, embarrassing encounters, or circumstances you would prefer to forget. Note down all the things you wish to let…
