Your destiny number relates to family heritage – the expectations placed on you by others and by yourself. It relates to your experience of life and is connected to your birth name. However, your destiny number can change during the course of your life and may be strongly influenced should your name alter – for example, if you change your surname after marriage, through adoption, or for any other reason. Your destiny number is found by translating each of the letters in your name into a number. The name you use can either be the full name on your birth certificate, the name you are generally known by, or both. You then add these numbers together until you end up with a single digit.
