Being in nature invites us to relax into ourselves. Nature can’t be anything other than itself and in the wild we too can only be ourselves. We can wander, play, muse, gaze, and open up to sensory experiences, exactly as we did as children when we were small and close to the ground. We pushed our fingers into sand, splashed about in mud, built things out of sticks and stones, paddled in rockpools; we naturally made a connection with our environment. We were part of nature then and can be again. As an adult, spend time in nature, and you’ll rediscover this peace and wonder once more.
