ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
Who was this Knight of the Sad Countenance? Who was this Sancho Panza? Was the fight with the windmills real? How far does imagination go?
Teacher Milagros arrived on the first day of school with a book under her arm, a book that she inherited from her grandfather and that she will now read with the children of 3A: The Ingenious Knight Don Quixote of La Mancha. And so, with each reading, the new Spanish teacher tells them who Miguel de Cervantes is, where this wonderful story comes from, who has portrayed Don Quixote, and encourages them to use a dictionary to understand the difficult words in the book
(although this was Carmen's idea, one of the girls in the classroom). Children get so excited about the adventures of Don Quixote that they wear costumes, imagine modern noblemen with superheroes, and become authors as well. This simple and endearing book, as well as faithful to the original work, manages, on two narrative levels (the moment in the living room and the narration of Don Quixote), to introduce the youngest children to one of the most important classics of our language, encourage them to imagine other times and help them open the door to an infinite world of adventures.
