My friend Dorothy is very, very big. Plus, she always drops crumbs when she eats, and birds often land on her head without her realizing it. Those are some of the reasons why the others don't accept her and even ask me not to be friends with someone who is so different--as if being different were a bad thing! You know something? I don't just think she's wonderful... she's my best friend, too. To the naked eye, we couldn't be more different, but the truth is we have a great time when we're together.

Mi amiga Dorothy es muy, muy grande; siempre deja caer miguitas cuando come y muchas veces se le posan pjaros en la cabeza sin que ella se d cuenta. Por estas y otras razones, las dems no la aceptan e incluso me piden que no me junte con una amiga tan diferente. Como si ser diferente fuera algo malo! Para m ella no es solo maravillosa... tambin es mi mejor amiga. A simple vista no nos parecemos en nada, pero nos lo pasamos en grande cuando estamos juntas.
