Mike Duff Road & Track has named Duff its new director of reviews. Duff is a longtime contributor to various automotive publications in the U.S. and his native U.K. “My career started when I replied to a blind advertisement,” Duff recalls. “‘Do you want to write for a car magazine?’ it said. I did. That magazine never happened, but in 1999, I began working for Car magazine.” All of Duff’s earliest cars were British and terrible. “That gave me a strong preference for Japanese and German cars.” His current stable includes a Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 and a Porsche Cayman S. Alana Paterson “It’s a perfect truck,” Paterson says of her regular-cab, flat-bed 1992 Dodge Ram 350 powered by a 12-valve Cummins diesel six. She uses it for daily transportation as a work beast…
