My name is Angela and this is my memoir. My story about Richard Porter and I. It's been over 30 years since Richard got killed and now I'm strong enough to share my story.

Growing up in the streets of Harlem during the 70s, 80s, and 90s were pretty rough. There were drugs, poverty, and crime on just about every street in Harlem.

Richard and I were both directly faced with some of those circumstances which left us at a disadvantage but gave us the opportunity to grow with strength, hope, belief, and determination.

We both shared our visions and dreams with each other. Dreams to overcome those struggles and circumstances. To create a better life for ourselves and our families. By any means necessary we both did what we had to do to survive. Richard became aware of the opportunity to profit from the substance users in Harlem early on in his life. So he sacrificed his life and sold drugs with the hope to build a bridge for his family to get out of the hood and out of poverty.

Richard did good for himself and he prospered in the drug game but with growth and prosperity comes jealousy, hate, and envy. Before Richard could complete his goal he was betrayed by his family and killed by his best friend.

I was devastated and I felt like Richard abandoned me. I wanted to die but I couldn't because I was left with a child that Richard and I decided to have together. At first, I felt like he reneged. I was mad but as I lived on and took care of my family I realized it was all divine order.

This is a story about my life before Rich Porter, with Rich Porter, and after Rich Porter. The struggles, the achievements, and the testimonies.
