REMEMBERED ANGER
Chet Burton had been betrayed. He had parachuted into France but was captured immediately by the Germans, and spent the last three years in a prisoner of war camp. Now that the war is over he is back in Paris, looking for the traitor who betrayed him. It can only have been one of two people: Robert Grandelieu or Colonel Blois, both French patriots.
The last person he expects to see is the woman he loved before his capture, Sue Porter, in the company of one of these men. Sue had thought Chet was dead-that was the official report. But their meeting is bittersweet. She has moved on, and is quite certain the traitor can't be her new love, Grandelieu. Then Chet's contact, Josephine Vachon, is found hanging in her apartment. Whoever the traitor is, he is beginning to cover his tracks.
