LAYER LINEN A palette of sugared-almond pinks with chalky greys is infinitely calming, while linen always feels so effortless. Forget the iron, those lived-in crumples add to the relaxed vibe, too. On the warmest nights, layer a linen flat sheet over a cotton duvet set and shift between them (so you’re on top of the duvet, under the sheet) when the temperature rises. Worth the investment, linen gets better – and softer – with age. Many brands, from H&M, to Toast, to The Secret Linen Store, sell bedlinen by the individual pillowcase and sheet, so you can create a set of your own in tonal hues, and add to your collection over time.
