STRAP HAPPY I have always worn leather-strap watches. I prefer the way it feels on my skin, and the way it somehow makes even a chunky boyish watch (the kind I like) lighter to wear every day. But my new puppy – who, at 13 weeks, is chewing everything in sight – recently took a shine to my favourite leather-strap watch… so it’s time for a replacement! Now I find myself in the market for a new timepiece, I’m drawn to one with a metal bracelet strap, which should last years and be virtually puppy-proof.
