The Latest Approach to the Goldilocks Zone from Smith & Wesson

Back in 2018, Smith & Wesson released the first of an entirely new line of pistols, the M&P Shield EZ. First offered in .380ACP and then followed up in 9mm, the M&P Shield EZ was a home run for many, especially for those with limited upper body strength. Both manipulating the slide and filling the magazine of the EZ is smooth — hence the name. To date, there are very few handguns available with this same sort of capability, at least outside the realm of rimfire. The major downfall of the M&P Shield EZ is the relatively limited magazine capacity compared to the current batch of wonder pistols, as the EZ only holds eight or nine rounds depending on the caliber.
