PART THE LAST Er, here it is done. The end. OK. Maybe you’d like to know a little bit more than that… but basically, this is it. A bunch of hours down the shed each week spread over two or three months. If you’ve done everything right you get to wheel out yet another race bike. Hurrah! Putting it all back together after paint was simple enough. That’s the great advantage of building it all up into a running stage first. But before I stripped it down, I thought it best to actually run the engine. Which meant it would have helped if it actually had some compression. And I discovered it didn’t. Ah, so much for rebuilt motors off eBay then! I wasn’t going to pull the motor out…
