Wye signal box to be preserved at Helston Wye signal box in Kent has begun its 330-mile journey to Prospidnick in Cornwall. The 130-year-old structure, which was due to have been demolished, is to be given a new lease of life on the Helston Heritage Railway. It was delicately removed by ex-offenders involved in the ‘Brighter Futures in Rail’ project.
