Rail ‘Oscars’ reward excellence and efforts of the railway family

This year’s awards attracted a record number of entries, and 1,100 people from across the industry gathered at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on September 12 to celebrate the very best in railway excellence. Dubbed the ‘Railway Oscars’, this year’s event was hosted by television presenter Nick Knowles. And it was a successful night for Greater Anglia, which scooped three awards including Passenger Operator of the Year. It had won the blue riband award in 2022, and regained its title after an excellent year, with NRA judges commenting that they “quickly agreed” on the strength of the entry (see feature, pages 38-41).
